The Effect of Listening to Quran Recitation on Score of Post-Stroke Fatigue in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients

BACKGROUND: One of the common stroke complications is post-stroke fatigue (PSF) with prevalence 25–85%. PSF influences health-related quality life, disability, dependence in daily activities, ability to return work, and case fatality rate patients. Listening Quran recitation can increase alpha waves brain, reduce stress inflammatory biomarkers. AIM: The purpose this study was identify effect listening on find out mean Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) score acute ischemic METHODS: This an experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. Sixteen subjects were recruited by consecutive sampling Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital, Semarang. FAS assessed 1st day study, then played 2 sessions a day, 15 min/session, for 5 days. reassessed last day. conducted from August September 2021. analysis test used paired t-test.
